I'm lucky in that my marks won't really have an effect on my ability to follow my dream career ... given that I don't have one ... cos it doesn't take much to get into a Bachelor of Arts course. Damn good thing, too, as it turned out.
& the less-than-stellar results are good in another way too -- I'm hoping that now people will give up their ridiculous portrayals & perceptions of me as a super-smart, uber-skilled genius. They think they're being nice to me & showing they have faith in me ... I love them for it, but I spent most of my life & all of this year choking on too tight a halo.

How do they do it? How do you get one of the richest, healthiest economies in the world into such a state of paranoia that by waving a few irrelevant, incidental facts you can terrify 20 million (comparatively) rich, fat people into such a state of subordination that they'll gladly accept a leader who lies, fabricates, and whines rather than putting forward some positive ideas for a change? How can people be so self-centred when they have it so good? How can they be so paranoid when they're so safe? How can negativity be preferable to positivity? How can unsound bitching win over looking to the future?

I was wondering if, by any chance, it would be possible that you could send me a doc of your fic "Irasshaimase (Welcome)" that used to be in Fanfiction.net. It's been some time since I first read it, but it certainly one of the best stories I have ever read! I know that it's been some time since you first published your fic; and I will understand if you have moved on to new things and thus you are not able to send me your fic. However, it would be really awesome if you could do that for me!

Well, that would be fine. the reason I mentioned the site was because I thought a lot of people enjoyed it/would enjoy it, and so they'd know who wrote it, as they should. Plus, there's an itunes app that saves stories from the site I wanted to save to it.
